Changes to Consumer Law

Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd, suppliers of Simpson appliances has amended its warranty statements to comply with new Australian Consumer Law requirements.

The new warranty statements are located below on the relevant brand websites and have been distributed with Simpson appliances from mid 2011. The new warranty statements took effect from January 1, 2011 and replace all previous warranty statements.

There may be appliances in the market place which were manufactured and contained in appliances’ tamperproof packages prior to 1 November 2011 and which include the old warranty statement. Electrolux Home Products has affixed a “compliant sticker” to the outside packaging to make purchasers aware of this.

Electrolux Home Products fully assures all customers that our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. You are also entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The benefits under Electrolux’s warranty are in addition to other rights you have at law.
